Longest I've done in a workout is 400m. Maybe capable of 600m at one point but not 8. I'd be happy if I could make it 300-400 now.

2 miles mothaf*kkaz
at least, that's when they told me to stop
well, anything past 400m would be unknown for me, but i'm pretty sure i could hold it until 600m. i say 600 because it's mental and the goal of 600 may get me there, but as soon as i hit it i will give up and quit.
I do not think I could reach 15 mph right now. I have sprinted past police scanners that were set up along local roads a few times in recent years and have registered at 14 mph. One time in high school, I missed my 800 race and jumped into the 200 in 30.7 without starting blocks so that is 14.6 mph on average, I must have been over 15 mph for a sizable portion of the time. Probably with a lot of speed training I could run 200 meters in under 30 seconds, especially if I learned how to use starting blocks.
about 900 meters.. 1:54 800m
1991 -- 1000m
now -- 150m
1609 meters
here's an idea... wrote:
They should have actual races based on this principle. Line up a bunch of treadmills and set them to 15mph. Whoever lasts longest without falling off wins. Protective gear such as helmets and knee pads are recommended.
If there were ever a running reality show, that would make a good challenge. But I think the runners would just lift themselves on the handles when the pain gets too severe before they fall.

You don't think a reality show is capable of removing the handles on the treadmill for the sake of entertainment?
1:59.80 for 800, so I guess 805-810 meters?
200m working my way towards 300!
Not even 10 months ago I could go about 1400m. After graduation that quickly went South and I would be hard pressed to run 800 that quick. Never stop running... it's a pain when you start again, even to just 'stay in shape' after competing.
Maybe 300m.
Keep in mind that if you average 15 mph for 800 meters you are probably running much slower than that at the end. You would have to even split so it would be more difficult.
Hard to say. I usually negative split my mile (4:10). Starting out at an honest pace...1300-1350?
112m
Two miles
58.7 400
2:20 800 (Ouch)
Top speed ~17.5mph (according to my Garmin)
So ~450-500m most likely.
Is this how long you could average 15 mph, or how long you could go without dipping under? As far as averaging goes, I could probably make it around 800m. I would probably struggle to split 30.0 or under for each 200m split though. Most people seem to positive split an 800, and while you could still run 2:00 doing that, If you run 59 then 61 you will have been running slower than 15 mph at some point before reaching 800m. Same could be said for negative splitting a race with the same final time.
0 meters.
