Didn't Herb Lindsay run 1:14:07 or so on this course. I thought that Greg Meyer also ran in the. Low 1:14's.

I suppose not. What do you propose the agent-less athletes do to self-promote? Call media outlets and demand to be interviewed? Pull Hesch-like push-up stunts in board shorts at race finishes?

What's your plan? Go door to door? Many of these guys are working other jobs while grinding out 100+ mile weeks. They might not be thinking about "growing the sport." They're probably thinking about staying healthy, covering air fare to out of town races, racing to get in the money, working their other jobs, etc.

All that aside, many of these guys get interviewed. They have twitter accounts. They race all the time. Their names and stories are out there. Some of them have been on the front page of this very website. The problem is not with supply; the problem is with demand.

Fair enough. That's an agent's job. What about the guys without agents?

Seriously? Your suggestion for blue-collar athletes without agents is to drum up self-publicity out of thin air so guys like you can root against them?

which means nothing more than the (potential/probable) fact that he's smart enough to time a cycle so that he's clean come race day, esp with advance notice of testing. time has come to comlpetely do away with advance notice testing, don't even tell the athletes at the elite athlete briefing, just surprise em at the finish line, that's the only only way that they'll ever catch someone in competition.

He ran 29:55ish for 10,000m in HS. He was still no joke though.

how about some links to actual race results, rather than mo embellishing his past? sorry kid, never happened. 29:55, been well documented. 3:49?? are you joking? for what, a 1450m? you do know we all would have been salivating if a kid broke 3:50 back then. wasn't many beyond webb and hall that did.

So, we all agree that as a high schooler he ran sub 30 for the 10k distance and is now winning US road titles.

Again, I ask my question: What makes you suspicious that he is doping other than you have an axe to grind?
