I friended him on facebook after all the hoopla about him trying to break some stupid treadmill record. I looked at his facebook a few months ago and his life seemed unbelievably depressing. I have trouble even believing he's even a real person. Yet somehow he has a faster half marathon pr than me.

A tough situation overall. Yet another reason to think twice before suicide. It severely impacts those around you.

He was already really gaunt even by runners standards when he was popular on these boards.
Losing a brother to suicide can mess up one's world in a hurry. It happened to me. I know. Families can fragment after suicide and when that happens things can unravel quickly. It isn't hard to imagine someone who often pushed his body to the limit could think he could handle meth.

$1000 a day in drug use? He probably was. Also being 120 pounds in prison makes you equivalent to a cute girl.

Not sure what you are getting at here. Do you feel that someone who is a felon in possession of a gun, is obviously selling heroin and meth (how else was he affording $1000 a day in drugs), leading a life of crime, and trying to kill himself does not pose a risk to the rest of us?
Do you think he should have been given 3 months so he could have just gone right back to all that?
I agree that drug use is mostly a crime against yourself, and does not warrant prison time, but there was a LOT more going on here than him being sad and shooting up just himself. If you commit crimes you need to be punished so you hopefully don't do them again. If you don't get punished, why would you stop?
I'm pretty sure the stopwatch has to go OVER the wall.

Yeah, internet bullying has never had any adverse effects on anyone. This guy coulden't even let one remark, maybe not even intended for him, go without resorting to name calling. Hope Moen gets himself straightened out
