(What drug would you even take to be better at the 800? There are so many ways to skin this cat, but just being stronger or having a higher HCT don't seem like they'd cut it. Just look at a world-class 800 field. The variety of athletic profiles does not give the sense of doping toward some pinnacle.)

Actually, Archery has a big problem with folks cheating with beta blockers. Same for all the shooting events. Golf too. Any sport where you rely on fine motor coordination under pressure you'll find beta blocker abuse.
I'm a good bowler and I could see how some drugs could help. Something for focus like DMAA could help.

Sodium Citrate (to improve lactate buffering in muscles) is one that IS commonly used/abused for 400 and 800.
EPO to improve aerobic capacity and improve ability to recover in training (even Marion Jones used it for the latter reason).
Good answer. Snooker and darts in the UK also have beta blocker issues. So shooting is out.
