Lukas Verzbicas Runs Hometown Turkey Trot

We all should be thankful that we can run. Some have more obvious reasons than others. A great story! Thanks for posting.

I ran the race that Lukas ran this morning. It is 2.5 miles. About 1000 meters of it was on a thick wood chip trail with part of that a fairly tough hill. The rest is on roads and bike trail. I would guess you can deduct about 8-10 seconds to get an equivalent road time.

Lukas looked a little frail but pretty amazing for a guy that couldn't walk about 6 months ago.

Verzbicas is DONE. Even more so than Alan Webb. And that is saying something of significance!

My son and I met him several times and its super hard to cheer for the biggest jerk we have ever met ! His nose was so far in the air he wouldn't even be polite! And there were several occasions in different settings! So it was consistent behavior! Add OR and we have nothing good to say about him at all! thought you might like to know the real LV!!!

But still would never wish ill of someone , and hope he can recover !

Is his accident going to seriously affect his running career in the longterm?

Congratulations to Lukas V. That is great that he is recovering well.

Curious though that above his thread/article link it says, "Unlike Lance, He is clean."

What does one have to do with the other? Verzbicas is a triathlete, and exactly HOW do we know he is clean? How do we know I am clean?

I am no Lance fan, and I know that there is always a TENUOUS link to anything with the Letsrun staff, but couldn't we run that line above EVERY article link to appear on here?
