Based on previous week(s) times, could the D1 course have been short?
At least that's what's being said on another forum.

it felt normal
It was short - officially. It was 3.0 miles based on a couple GPS measurements according to the hosts.
Thanks. It doesn't diminish the effort(s) or the finishes, of the participants.
I would rather schools be upfront as to the course measurements than masquerade their course as something their not.
Its the beauty of XC...if you want precision, run track.
Yeah, but Randon beat Ian Meyer by 50 seconds at the ISL championship, while Kieran beat Ian by 12 seconds at NEPSTA DI, which were a week apart. There are also other points of references from other ISL schools in NEPSTA DI.

Also, Mx didn't run against a non-ISL school all season besides at NEPSTA's DIII and Tabor at a quad meet early in the season.
On another note, thought I was the only NEPSTA lets runner ever, so this is a step in the right direction!
Footlocker NE
Anoush Shehadeh Andover was 5th
Does anyone know about Sisay
Also, what is the story behind NMH's #1 Hussein?
Hussein made outrageous gains this season, definitely a sleeper. He may turn out to be pretty talented.
Surprised Anoush was only 5th, but it was her first test (outside of road races) this season - maybe she was shocked and can be ready at nats.
Alumni news: Tully Gannon, Loomis Chaffee '09 was 5th at DIII nationals last week for Bates.
Any other results from Footlocker or NXN? Did NMH end up running, Msex or Randon? Other individuals?
Sisay did not run Foot locker or NXN cause he does not have an eligibility left. since he is a PG

Yeah, I made it as an individual at NXN Northeast.
Franklyn Sanchez went to Cushing Academy for a post-graduate year before setting an American Junior 5k record and going to Georgetown and Nike.
He frickin' crushed me at our dual meet at Exeter. (Didn't go to our interscholastic meet, I think.) I believe he ran in the 14:1X range for 3 miles completely by himself to break the course record by thirty seconds.
Joslyn Woodard, I think from Choate, went on to Yale and got Heps performer of the meet a couple times for the 100/Long Jump.
Melissa Donais of Andover won the Millrose Mile in high school and did pretty well running for Yale, as well. (If you are a super track nerd, look up some of the races between her and Emily Hampson in the '99 to -'02 range.)
When did the race happen between you and Sanchez? PEA has a 5k course, not 3M, and the record is in the low-15s as far as I know. Not calling you a liar, just curious for more info about this.

I went to a NEPSTA school and made All-NEPSTA my senior year (Division IV though so its not that impressive.)
AKMarmoset -- I ran against Franklyn in the fall of either 1999 or 2000. It was a 3 mile course for a long time, and our previous course record was 14:47(?). I forget who had the record now ... but I should know. I want to say "Derek Dillon '87" but that might be wrong. The day Franklyn ran 14:18 I ran 15:40(?) for a distant second place. (Can yooou guess who I am??)
The old course started in line with the football goal post, turned left and went through the woods to Drinkwater Road, left onto a trail, right and up the speed bump hill, down the hill and across a soccer field, left down the road, and left after the football field to finish at the starting line.
I ran at Exeter in the fall of 99 and it was definitely 3-miles at that point.
Just a heads up, a thread is up/and update on Track Talk
Back years, as well
SwellGirl/JayC post often
Keeps you NESCAC/Ivy runners aware of the talent that may
be a teammate soon

What is this, DI?
Seems like D1. Do they even run track in D3?
How the hell do we keep this conversation going?
Only five more months till the start of (outdoor) track??
Congratulations to Brandon on his showing at NXN NE and best of luck this weekend.
