I think this is the end for her. I can't remember of recent coaching changes that have helped athletes. Shalane was better with Cook. Ryan was better with Mammoth TC. Alan Webb was better with Razcko.

You could say that the other way around for Uhl. She left Iowa State and has not run as well. So maybe going back will be better by your logic and Jerry was the problem.
If Uhl had improved significantly with Schumacher I'm sure she would have stayed, but she hasn't. Without professional progress the personal sacrifice isn't worth it -- it's a no-brainer to leave if you're not running faster AND your personal life is taking a hit. Why stay?
I thought this thread was about Lisa leaving her husband. This sucks. Nobody cares about this coaching realtionship. The only reason people watch her run is that she is hot
Gotta remember she's got Betsy Saina (31:15 at Payton Jordan) to train with at Iowa State.
The problem is not that she left, the problem is the message it sends. She left because she said she wanted to do everything possible to be the best runner possible. Now she tells us that it is not worth it to do everything possible.

True Betsy is running faster than any of Uhl's teammates at OTC so she will actually be #2.
