I read somewhere that before Mitchell's injury, Spearmon and Gay had volunteered to run on the 4x4 team; the coach didn't entertain it at the time, but it will be interesting to see the choice tomorrow. My guess, along with everyone else's, is that it will be Taylor; I have to say, though, I'd love to see Gay or Spearmon on there.

This is great, having to pick a non-specialist for the 4x4 team. It almost feels like a conference meet in college where you're trying to figure out who's still got something left
Picking a "non specialist" like Angelo Taylor to run the 4 x 400m for the US is a no brainer considering it's been done with this specific runner multiple times before even when other, healthy, 400m runners were available.
It's amazing the lack of knowledge of the sport on this board.

Solomon is hot. I would go with the hot runner who can cover the distance. The 200 guys are iffy. Taylor didn't run well in these games.
