Nobody is saying the guy isn't fast or a champion. The point everyone is making is that he is a humongous douche. If the coach gave him instructions to leave the track immediately and if some little mascot impedes this process in anyway then "push it out of the way" then he is a douchebag as well.

Would you have pushed away a person who was just doing his/her job of giving you some award simply because your coach told you so? If your answer is "yes" then you are a douchebag as well.

Mahiedine is a great sportsman and ambassador. He will beat your Evan Jager handily and then you will have no ground to stand on.

Why are you giving a justification to those facts. Being french or american or whatever does not change the fact that his behavior is unacceptable as usual with him. This guy is "de la racaille" not an ambassador like Zidane is.

I am French and I am ashamed of his past and current actions. I don't remember Steve Prefontaine ever punching a competitor after a race and certainly not a mascot.

Might be a great Athlete but he is certainly is not an individual to admire.

I actually worked as a mascot at some college sports when I was in my early 20s. Don't ask.

If someone, even an athlete on "my" own team, had pulled something like that, I would have taken off my plush bear paws and clocked them the f#ck in the face.
