I want science people only to please read the scientific study below and tell me what it means in English. And can you compare it to altitude.

What I got from the article is that the use of thyroid medication with the use of altitude training causes your genes to express differently. This difference is an increased production of EPO. Your body naturally produces EPO, and this increases with the use of thyroid medication and altitude training. So, if this is true, Rupp is doped to the gills with his own EPO. Is it ethical? I don't know. He just pressed the right buttons, genetically. It sounds like a form of genetic cheating to me.

only skimmed the abstract, but all it look like it was saying was that thyroid hormone increases EPO production in the same way hypoxic environments do, through the increase expression and protein of HIF-1a
