Don't really care about this thread. But somebody does need to educate him on quality beer. He has money. He was born, raised, and now lives in Portland OR. And a big part of his professional career is running in Northern European locales where they know a thing about beer. In that context you are drinking Coors Light?

I met with him cooling down with Mo Farah and shook hands, congratulated him for the fine run, Mo was busy taking pictures with Bekele and some Ethiopain guys. Rupp is such a cool guy. I met Asbel Kiprop, Haron Keitany, Wilson Kiprop and Mark kiptoo. I talked to Keitany for 20 minutes, said he has a hip injury and that is why he was not able to defend his title today. Keitany told me that Choge has a back problem, that is why he was wayback today. Bekele was getting some encouragement from his manager, he seemed down. I heard the manager telling him, he was faster than everyone else, the conversation went on for some time.
I love the fact that all the haters have nothing to say. Congratulations to Rupp on an excellent race.
Personally, if I were to celebrate with a beer it wouldn't be C-lite, but then again I'm not a 12:58/ 26:48 Olympic medal contender.
I'm not a fan of Galen, but I hope he medals just to shut up all the morons that pick on him.

Yeah, I'm still not buying that he drank a beer. I have no confirmation that he drinks. Possibly he doesn't drink because of his age...just not into it yet...or athletic/health discipline. Alberto has mentioned in interviews he allows himself a class or two of wine per day.
I think it is kind of cool to be that dedicated to your mission as a athlete to not drink. Times are different.
why are you so negative? what's wrong with you? did you not get excited watching that race at all, and rupp's/mo's performances? rupp hanging with the big boys and beating bekele? he's getting better and better, he's still relatively young, and at this rate he will medal, maybe even a damn gold medal in 2016. who the f*** knows. the guy's fast, has amazing endurance, and his finishing speed is improving each year.
why are distance runners such tools, by and large? it's depressing. i try to avoid these boards, but once in a while i check it out, and it's so pathetic, the negativity and pettiness. i love running and it can be a lot of fun, but so many of the people who get into it are dbags. why is that? downer.
try enjoying watching a great race, not criticizing someone who is massively, insanely more talented than you.
