You are the one who mentioned his (false) age in your very first post.
You're overlooking the fact that the Kenyans did use him as a junior - and probably hope to discourage competition by pointing at "kids" and saying no one will catch up.

This is 2004 and the topic: does Eliud Kipchoge gets the respect he deserves and how much I think he will improve this year over last year. The controversial age holds no barring on accomplishments he will achieve this year in senior events-so close the gates that horse isn't coming back it was beaten senseless last year. Eliud Kipchoge if he remains healthy will again shock more individuals but I think it will be on the European circuit-if Kenenisa doesn't double then Eliud should win Gold in the Olympic 5000m.

Kipchoge dominant at 5000m
In what was expected to be the feature race of the two-day meeting, World champion Eliud Kipchoge won the men's 5000m in commanding style, demolishing a world class field midway.
Kipchoge heaved a sigh of relief at the finish, confirming ?my chest has been heavy with anxiety for a whole year. It is now cleared having won today and from now I can say Athens will be easy.?
Kipchoge having concentrated on the 1500m so far this year showed his intentions early in the race by taking the lead which he refused to relinquish. When he broke away not even eventual second placed John Kibowen or Abraham Chebii could muster the energy to challenge him as he went on to finish in 13:14.0. Kibowen came second in 13:22.6, further back was Chebii (13:27.8).

Who says anything about record keeping? It's flat out lying. Look at him. He's in his mid 20's. He'll disappear in a couple of years, and of course it will be claimed he's burned out. Nope. It'll be because he's 30 or older, and other guys in their mid 20's (but claiming to be teens) will be beating him.

You have amazing insight to say that Eliud will be around for many years while others around him burn out. Yes I agree with you it is amazing what he accomplished as a 18 year old and I too think that he will improve greatly this year.

I do agree that Kipchoge looks very old. Like the other guy mentioned earlier, it's probably the same situation as Kurui, with a guy in his mid or late 20's being claimed as a teen. I think Bekele is probably a couple of years older than what is claimed, and that HE IS YOUNGER THAN KIPCHOGE.

I can't help but laugh at all those who profess to be more Kenyan than me. Whereas I don't know the Kenyan athletes personally, I have no problem with their age. I believe that by and large, their age is what just what it is reported to be.
as for the medical keeping record, my fair mr 'give it up crybaby," you may not have said it verbatim, but others have in this forum. I have read it on Letsrun dot com. I have met so many Americans who claim to be 17, 18, 19 or even mid twenties who look so much older that I'd think they are in their late twenties to early thirties. I never argued with the truth about their age but it buffled me all the same. I believe them and their age. I see no reason as to why one would doubt Eliud's age. Looks may be deceiving.
I dont trust the record keeping in the USA either.
Alan Webb looks like he is in his late 20's.. if he was a kenyan that would be the excuse the Mazungus of america will loose .. for there pitiful performance.

12:46.53 by Eliud Kipchoge beating some of the top Ethopians and that still isn't the best from Eliud this year. I mentioned days before the race that the only Ethopian I thought could beat Eliud was Kenenisa Bekele.
