I have a large jar that takes a couple of years to fill. I always use coinstar but you need to find the ones that will pay you in gift cards and then you are not charged the convenience fee and occasionally they offer cards that give you a 10% bonus.
Nothing drives me crazier than the sorry, lazy SOB who leaves the shopping cart in the lot....that alone is an accurate barometer of a persons character.

If you were paid in coins it would make sense to roll it to keep all of it.
But to go through that hastle to save $1.40 on $20 of coins?
My time is more valuable than that.
What really gets me is the fact that lazy coinstar users cannot take 30 seconds to read the posts above them to find that you are all writing the same exact answers, you lazy idiots! We get it, your WAAAAYYY too important to take a few minutes to count.

When I was in High School, I used to work at grocery stores in the summer. This was back before the staff of these places was comprised of meth-addicted, incompetent adults. Most of my co-workers were kids my age.
Anyway, I used to love getting the carts from around the parking lot b/c it gave me time outside to walk around.

There is a difference between laziness and efficiency.
You don't need to roll your coins in New York. The bank formally known as Commerce Bank have a coin drop that lets anyone, not just account holders, do it for free.
However, I use Coinstar in my local supermarket as the bank is a further four blocks away. :D

People who justify their laziness by claiming "my time is too valuable..."
Ok, so my actual laziest people are people who stand on escalators that are running next to stairs, or stand on those moving sidewalks in airports. I can understand walking up escalators, which saves a few seconds over taking the stairs, but otherwise you're choosing inactivity over activity and it's not even saving you any time.

Besides the elevator thing (I understand when you can't find the elevator, but I have coworkers who walk past the stairs to get to the elevator so they can ride it for one floor) my laziest people are the ones scouring the parking lot for the closest space. They drive around for 3 minutes to save themselves twenty-five steps.
On the note of pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, what about all of the other pre-packaged overpriced foods. Packaged apple slices anybody? Seriously, apples keep reasonably well, do not need to be refrigerated, only take a minute to slice, and can be eaten whole, yet I see people buy these pre-sliced apple packages at cafeterias.
It depends on the length of escalator / stairs. The Washington DC metro has some long escalators which are a pain to walk up when they are broken.

These same people will claim that they "don't have time to exercise". Drives me crazy. To the sedentary person, taking the stairs a few times a day makes a difference.
