Manilafasha was 15 seconds behind Farrell at Big 12s, so I'm guessing he's the #5 this year, likely to improve on last year's performance (#54). If he is in the top 50, OSU may be beatable, but they won't be destroyable.
OK State sat the only two runners that will really matter at Nats - Manilafasha and Stubs. No way to know how capable either one is right now but these regional results mean very, very little. About all that today's results do is confirm what was already known - The top four are in at least decent shape (but will they be able to beat Wisco's top five remains unknown); and their hopes rest on Mani and Stubs.
There is not enough to go on here. Wisconsin ran in a group - all five finished within 0.1 seconds - and were in a lead group through 6km (with Brice with them as well) and then a few guys in front while running with the top 3 Indiana guys through at least 8km. .They did not need to run any faster. Wisconsin has been easily able to handle Forys (3rd) and the top 3 Indiana guys.
For another metric, Mead was first ahead of all the OK OSU guys and only fourth at Big Tens. Basically, Wisconsin could have put their top three with/in front of Mead and their next two right behind, so well ahead of whoever is #5 for OSU. I like OK's depth!
