Goucher's Book not what I expected!

I am about 3/4 of the way done with the book and I must say it has been very entertaining and motivating. Both Tim and Adam are good writers and have great stories to tell. The pyschology aspect of the book has been very intriguing to me. Definitely worth the read for most people.

I'm torn... the intro is interesting, and makes me want to read more... on the other hand, it also reads an awful lot like a college admissions essay. Good book? Quite possibly. Well written? Not so sure.

i actually found the writing style pretty stale. could be a compelling tell, but the intro doesn't grip me.

still may have to give it a read one of these days.

Tim Catalano is the person who actually wrote the book, while Adam mumbled monosyllables into the dictaphone.

The nature of the letsrun trolls is as follows:

They get b0ners whenever they see Adam and Kara Goucher getting attention and do everything in their power to counter it with their inarticulate vitriol. Eventually they go limp when the Gouchers fall out of the limelight, and then the Viagra-infused woody returns with a vengeance when the Gouchers get attention.

Here's something to get your little wangs aroused. If you read a little more closely (clearly reading is not your stron suit), Adam won an essay contest in high school so he has (news flash) "writing ability!"

I wasn't going to buy this book, I have too many damn books, have stuff in storage, don't really give a sh!t about Colorado running lore, and I am moving.

But y'all are just too cute. Now I am going to buy 20 copies and give them out as Christmas presents as a way to show my appreciation for the Goucher and Catalano family. I give you trolls full credit, it's my way of pissing you off. In fact, I might sweeten the deal and get 40 books.

I'd recommend waiting until next summer when I hear a tabloid version will be out with pics of Kara's "holy trifecta" (ie. boobs, ass, vag)!!

I just posted about this last week. I like Goucher, I'm 40 pages in and think the book is terrible. Maybe it will pick up, but it's pretty bad thus far.

No sense rubbing it in just because AG went to CU. he graduated didn't he ? I.E. open enrollment, sign up for classes anytime, like the other non-CA PAC12 schools, B12, SEC, B10, CSU, SUNY, JuCos.

Talk is cheap and ever since the whole 2008 Olympic Trials BS, I cannot respect Goucher. It made him look cheap and slimy and he wound up being exposed as a non-factor in the races.
