I think UCLA's real problem on the guys side is that they don't seem to have anyone that can score in the single digits. I admit I don't follow this as closely as I used to so I could be wrong but I think that is going to hurt them against Oregon and WSU. (Although WSU might not have any low sticks either)
That said I think it will be Stanford and Colorado going 1st and 2nd. Followed by Oregon, WSU and UCLA in some order.
I have no idea what is wrong with the UCLA women.
Not that it matters but if you decide to attend the meet, it is not close to Tempe and ASU at all. Litchfield Park is way west of ASU (45 min one direction all freeway) and is flat. Golf courses if you play are not bad. It would have been better if they ran it at Karsten which is across the street and undulating
On the men's side for the team title, Bosshard from Colorado is a huge question mark. If he's fit then there's 3 guys from Colorado that can run around Derrick and Riley (Bosshard, Wacker, Medina), and another 2 that were top 20 at prenats. Whether he's in the mix or not will affect Colorado's score by about 20 points.
Stanford's 3-4-5 are a mystery. A number of these guys have all-american track credentials; someone breaking through and running in the same tier as Riley wouldn't surprise me.
It would be nice to have it close, but all the gold courses around the place are not flat at all. In the case of Karsten, it has way to many rolling hills.

Why are hills so taboo in college XC? WTF? Wimping down the sport, IMHO.

Agreed. It seems like many of the great high school courses have very significant hills but when you get to college it's all golf courses.

I think many on here are under estimating Stanford women. The Wisco meet was a bad showing for them (and many teams). I bet the repeat. Cuffe is way better than she showed at Wisco. They will have 2 in the top 4.
