I am from SC and I was amazed watching Ryan run in HS. I am glad that he chose to run in NC and he picked a great program to go to. I am so happy to see the way he has improved. He is a true talent and you will hear more of him.

I never said any such thing about GF, and what other people think about him has nothing to do with whether Hill is on the verge of big things. He had an amazing year last year and keeps improving drastically. He could like anyone get injured or pitter out, but he seems like he's only getting better and ready to do some big stuff this year.

As we've seen with Webb, a few bad years after a record breaking HS career doesn't doom you from pr'ing again. GF could come back better than ever, time will tell. Right now he seems to be looking pretty decent.

Well, I am glad he is (cocky), cause I never heard of him either, but hey, obviously he is good.

Ryan hill went to a small-school division in high school (NC). Never had too much competition, always won by a lot/undefeated, then went on to a pretty fair freshman season at ncsu. Has gotten better ever since.

The OP has got to be joking. Ryan Hill isn't some flash in the pan, new guy on the scene. He's good!!!!!

Another North Carolina product ran for a second place finish too. Andy Wacker of Colorado placed 2nd at the pre nat meet and ran for Pinecrest High school in NC.

So he has one Flotrack interview that sounds kind of cocky and now he's Mr. Arrogant? glad you know the guy so well.

From my experience with him, he's a nice kid.

Besides, healthy confidence should scale with aptitude. He's obviously very good - shouldn't he be one of the top-10 or 15 most confident guys out there? I haven't seen the interview in question...but I'd rather athletes told it straight and didn't try to put forth some facade of unnecessary modesty.

Ryan Hall is a MMA fighter on the side.
