German Fernandez Status

German gave up running, he realized he barely won a 1500 title with absolutely nobody worth beating in the race.

correct me if im wrong, but german still has next year for eligibility in terms of track right? whereas this is his last year for xc?

I saw him fall down while running around the Cowboy Jamboree course. He had hurt his ankle and proceeded to yelling at Smith. He said "This is what I get for following your plan!". Smith replied with "Hey, its either the Smith plan or I toss you out like a can.". I thought Smith's rebuttal was pretty clever.

This looks like a troll thread. I can tell from the letters...and from having seen many trolls in my time.

My hunch is he's palling around with AWebb and Razcko.

I talked to Dave Jankowski and he said he ran an 8k time trial on their home course in 22:46.

I saw German in the OSU area several weeks ago and got a chance to talk to him. He said he spent most of his summer (80 hours a week!) working in a Razor Scooter factory assembling razor scooters. He was debating on even going back for the fall term.

I heard he is getting his citizenship in Andorra so he can run in the Olympics without a B standard.

Just ignore the trolls on here. I bumped into GF the other day at the mall while I was shopping for culinary supplies. He is working at the Kitchen Showroom full time while continuing his studies. He works mostly in the kitchen knife department where he gets a small commission off of all sales. According to German, the Messermeister knives were his biggest seller. I thought that was appropriate. He said on a good week he could pull in an extra 75 - 100 bucks in commissions. With his normal hourly pay plus commission he is clearing about $350 a week. Not bad for a college kid.
