She will go to Oregon not Stanford Stanford track and field team is Garbage and Oregon is going to win the NCAA Track and Field championships next year like they should have and would have if they had Thiesen,Kolinski and Purvis running in the NCAA'S this year. Oregon missing at least 20 plus points and a garbage Texas A & M team can only beat Oregon by 4 points lol at Texas A & M Oregon is going to win both the men and women NCAA Championships next year book it. Oregon is bringing in the best Mens track and field class ever assembled next year :) OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The winner did run 4:09, but she's probably 20 just peaked for life.

First of all, Vicki's experience at UCLA was much more of a reflection upon what she did than what the coaching staff did (or didn't) do. Besides, that was 25 years ago! That's like saying she shouldn't go to Stanford because of Brooks Johnson.

From what I've heard no one is thrilled with Jason Dunn as a woman's coach. If she want to continue running post college she will go to Oregon, if not than Stanford.

Thanks for remembering but it was UC Riverside not UC Irvine. Had Vince O'Boyle been at UCI when I graduated high school it may well have been UCI but I went to UCR to run with my my long-time age group teammates Chuck & Frank Assumma. With respect to Vickie's college career at Ucla, I'll just say that coaching and injuries had a lot to do with it. Keep in mind that both of us started running competitively at age 6. Cami did not start running until her freshman year in HS and believe it or not she was not encouraged by her mother to take up track. Her first love is soccer.

Kinda seems like Cami and Amy are two kids who don't spend a lot of time outside of practice stressing about track. Seem like pretty balanced, non-obsessive kids from my few impressions while talking with them. A good thing.

Cami may not have competed as a runner until HS, but she trained as a runner for years while doing high-level competitive soccer. That's like having 100 anaerobic interval sessions completed before HS. Makes a difference.

Face it Oregon owns Stanford in just about every single event on the Mens and Women's side in Track and field. It's kind of funny Stanturd recruits on about the same level as Oregon yet is garbage.
