Bolt doesn't need to peak for trials. The only thing Bolt has to do is train hard untill july, with a few racing breaks in between. His season planning is different then Gay's, since he has an automatic entry for the wc's. If any of you know something about season planning for sprinters you wouldn't talk that Gay vs Bolt crap at this time in the season. Gay is more likely to already running shorter distances and more speedwork in training, whilst Bolt is still more or less in basic training.
Bolt vs Gay is happening in Korea....and not earlier. Simple as that. I for one know where to put my money come that moment.
Also Steve Mullings is on a path destined for early burn out if he continues to run non this crazy scedule of his.
Complaining about soreness after every race for the past 3 weeks, flying from the US to Europe and back in a week..and he needs to be sharp within 3 weeks. Not a wise thing to do. I dare to state that he won't make the team in the individual 100. 200 is a different story.
Final someone post a comment that seems as if they know what the hell they are talking about. You bias cheerleaders need to pray for an injury free season for whomever you see fit enough to beat BOLT, instead of getting too excited way too early (read my 1st post). The one thing that these fans tend to forget about CHAMPIONSHIP seasons is that winning when it counts is the key. You guys get excited about circuit races but, I think that you are forgetting one major thing about the CHAMPIONSHIP & OLYMPICS. At these events each individual have to go through the rounds b4 they can run in that oh so important finals. Rounds you may ask! Yes, rounds! That is Heats; Quarter Finals; Semi-Finals and Finals, so basically you must run 4x and win in the finals in each sprint event b4 you can call yourself the champion...SO CHEERLEADERS STOP CHEERING AND START PRAYING.
A perfect example of who suffers from this reality is our special girl CARMELITA JETER. Notice how well she does in the circuit races b4 and after WORLD CHAMPS & OLYMPICS, but she NEVER produces at the CHAMPIONSHIP events.
