Well, a standard cup of coffee usually contains about 100mg of caffeine, give or take. And while three cups of this hypothetical "standard" cup would only put about 300mgs in your bloodstream, that's getting fairly close to the limit, and she's probably just giving you a conservative estimate. I mean, if she told you, "You can have 4-5 cups of coffee without testing positive", she could be right or wrong depending on how big the cups are and how much caffeine they actually have. So it makes sense that she just left it at "more than two".
