How are you going to get any useful information on that without asking at what age they ran those PRs, or comparing times run at a certain age?
Ooops, study over....

I assume you want age as of the PR's, and not our current age days?
Age @ time of PRs: 17

I'm doing a project for my Applied Kinesiology class which centers around comparing competitive runner's basic speed and success at shorter distance (400) with success in distance events (5000). While I won't be including the information I get here in my project (it's only for college athletes), I'm interested in seeing if the trend holds across different age groups. Please list your gender, age and 5k/400 PR's.

Um...age at which the PR was done, right?
56 and 15:10
Aged 27 and 32.
I reckon you night get more accurate figs from 800m/5000m as a lot of runners have never raced a 400m
58/15:54 age 22 off 1 x day training 55m
Did the 58 at half way in an 800m, (and pr'd!) aged 24 but actually did a 400 race at 22/23 and only managed 59!
I started doing circuits when I was 22 and that improved my strength and I think at age 24 I could have gone 56/57
Most runners I know who can go sub 15 can do at at least 53/54 for the 400m. They already have a 5 sec a lap advantage over us plodders. I wonder if the guys putting 60 + on here have actually raced one, although it is possible. It helps a lot if you have at least fair speed

I haven't ran a 400 since I ran 57.9 as a HS frosh and I've never run a track 5K. I ran low 31s for 10K last year (in college).
400 speed: ~ 51 (just an estimate, but I don't think its a reach)
5K goal: sub 14:40

400: 55.7 (split sophomore year of high school, ran the same split as a sophomore in college, I believe)
5K: 15:26 (junior year of college)
