Question to knowledge and others: how long will a 20 mg instant last? If it is instant, is it better to take it closer before the race (such as 30 min before)?

I used to be prescribed it(now off) but barely ever used it. I had to take it once(20mg)before workout about 30 to 60minutes, and i killed the workout. Mile repeats, wind about 25mph with 30 or 35 mph gusts and i couldnt feel much pain, i wasnt eventhnking about running.
Make sure you increase your water intake and try ut before you run, prossible in smaller does(10mg) before racing to know what it does to you. Cause it could kill you. And if you like me, dont expect to sleep much at all that night.
It's cheating. Period. End of story.
Yes planning to try it out in a smaller dose for a low key race, take it around 45-60 min before.. going to cut a 20 mg instant pill in half.
Actually maybe it is better I try it out for a workout first... before a race.
Using it the occasional once a week wouldn't build a tolerance would it?
And 10 mg should only last a few hours right?
should it be taken after or before a warmup? i assume any real dangers are with higher dosage?

To answer some of the questions, taking it once a week can increase your tolerance over time and yes you could get addicted. I agree with the others to not take it. Do you really want to wonder if you only got your PR from using a stimulant to help you? I think more importantly, this sounds like so,etching that could easily turn into addiction. I used to be anti-drugs, but took painkillers I was prescribed, and that eventually turned into a fairly bad drug addiction. Totally not worth it.

I'm pretty sure that I posted on this a while ago. It definitely helps but it's definitely cheating. Unless you have a prescription and are taking it as prescribed. I was told to take one in the am and one in the afternoon before practice. I was surprised by this because I was under the assumption that amphetamine and excercise would lead to a heart attack, I never did have a heart attack, but it would always kinda be a gnawing anxiety while I was running.
I did have some ballsy performances on it though. Where you are just battling with "your guy" for 2 miles to the line. I feel like I quite often raced beyond my fitness level, although when I was really roaring in training and getting fit I wouldn't use it so much because the running kept my chem levels in check.
