Watch out for Bumbalough. I'm warning you now.
Watch out for Bumbalough. I'm warning you now.
Teg scratched from the UW invitational last weekend. Perhaps all is not well.
Wasn't it noted that Teg scratched because there wasn't really a point in going up to UW for a mile that wasn't that strong?
Bumbalough had better get used to rabbitting any and all needs for Jerry's Wisconsin guys from here on out.
Amazing there has not been one mention of Patrick Smyth, Sean Quigley, Bobby Curtis or Ben Bruce - all 4 should be right there .....
What is interesting about tomorrow's race is that = in my opinion - there are 20 men capable of making the 6 man squad:
Matt Tegenkamp
Jorge Torres
Scotty Bauhs
Patrick Smyth
Ben Bruce
Ben True
Ed Moran
Ryan Vail
Abdi Abdirahman
Sean Quigley
Brent Vaughn
David Jankowski
Andrew Bumbalough
Max King
Bobby Mack
Bobby Curtis
Robert Cheseret
Jonathan Pierce
Andrew Carlson
Matt Gabrielson
LET'S HAVE A CONTEST ... PICK YOUR 6 - IN ORDER !!
AND LET'S CHECK BACK TOMORROW AND SEE WHO IS THE KING OF LET'S RUN !!
I WILL GO ...
1 - TEHENKAMP
2 - TORRES
3 - SMYTH
4 - ABDI
5 - CURTIS
6 - BAUHS
Smyth is not listed on the entries on USATF.org
You should also add Olinger to your list of 20 potential men. Keep in mind, Torres and Vail just ran the half last weekend. Vaughn started that race but DNFed as well.
Whatever happens, it will be an interesting race for the top 6.

TEG DON'T RUN NO CROSS!!!
Oh no, you are wrong! Teg do run cross! But, here is my prediction - Schumacher will be at the 9,999 meter mark and pulls him off of the course! You heard it here first!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont know what the fuss about the 'studs' not racing this, I wish they would race too but they gotta do whats best for them, not what you want then to do so you can get off.
Really the only studs missing are lagat, Sholinsky, Ritz and Rupp. The rest of these guys are pretty damn good, aka the best of the rest(for the most part).
Brett Vaughn if he runs smart, is my dark horse for top 6. Reppin the 303
Will we see live video of the winner at the finish? Or will it be like the Houston 1/2 last week where all we saw was the cameraman making a mad dash to the finish line, only to get there after the lead runners were done.

Why are US runners so puss about keeping their racing plans secret?
It's not just racing plans, but also fitness. Below is a snippet from a David Monti story of this morning. Why does Scott Bauhs' fitness merit Watergate-style reportorial language? Snippet:
Bauhs has already made two USA teams for World Cross, in 2008 and 2010. He was third at the national championships meet last year in Spokane, Wash., and a source close to his coach, Terrence Mahon, told Race Results Weekly that Bauhs was in excellent shape.
