Anyone else see this as a plug for Sick Animation?
What a stupid article.
It isn't oral sex that's linked to a higher risk of cancer, it's exposure to the HPV virus. The more people you give oral sex to, the more likely you are to be exposed to it, but it only takes one partner & one exposure. On the other hand, you could give oral sex a million times to one partner (or a few), and as long as they don't have HPV, you increase your risk of cancer by exactly zero.
Some posters have noted that these cancers are very treatable, but unfortunately it is difficult to detect them in the early stages, due to their location. I have recently heard of a newly developed saliva test that reportedly can detect the presence of HPV's, so perhaps there's some hope.
Sorry to be the bearer of even more gloom and doom, but there is strong evidence that these can be transmitted through saliva by kissing. The ways things are going, there's not going to be much left for us to do!

^^^given the ubiquitous nature of the HPV virus, you'd be smart to assume that any and all people you come in contact with harbor the virus.

"The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that, in 2002, some 90% of males and 88% of females aged 25 to 44 reported ever having oral sex with a partner of the opposite sex."
This was interesting. Are they saying the other 10% and 12% are having oral sex with a partner of the same sex?
not anything wrong with that wrote:

No, the other 10-12% either haven't done it or have only done it with a partner of the same sex.

So now libs are blaming Bush for cancer and STDs!! You guys are a sad sad bunch!
Sounds like you were asleep during the whole Bush administration.

True! They think everything is that poor man's fault. They need to get over it. Obama is to blame for all the mess now, right?NObama_Owns_You wrote:
