I will caution all of you to be careful about your posts about Charlie Engle. I posted something on my blog, and have received by far the most hate mail (and even a few threats of physical harm) yet for a posting.
He has some passionate supporters, but a few crazies in there too. Just be careful folks, especially if your name is present.

I was really shocked when I read some of the responses to your post (I'm a subscriber) about him. I thought they were totally over the top. While I've only met him personally a few times in passing, being from Greensboro, I know plenty of people who would not hesitate to tell you that they don't think the guy is all that great. I know a few who have legitimate financial reasons for not caring for him as well (his skin care business in general). A lot of people here have a bit of a sour taste in their mouth for old Charlie, and I know it for a fact.
Sorry you got a few of the crazies, but I can promise you they don't represent the majority of folks here. Hell, most people around here couldn't even tell you who he is, let alone his running accomplishments.
Keep up the good work in your blog man, I dig it.
This story made the NYTimes today. I was not aware of it but it really pisses me off that folks like Countrywide's Angelo Mozilo are not in jail.
