I was chronically injured when shod, uninjured barefoot. I think that being barefoot has allowed/forced me to become more bio-mechanically efficient. Run marathons. Weigh 165.
I'm slower than everyone on letsrun claims to be. But faster than 90+% of fitness runners.
There is a point in our lives - in the 30s, maybe 40s - when exercising for health becomes a greater priority than setting a new PR. You'll know what I mean when you get there.
