In fact in Webb's case it is worse, there is actual proof.

He will be allowed to race in the next Olympic games but he'll be suspended for his first 5 races in the year 2013.

How do you know it was their coach who footed the bill?

When I was in high school, we would go out to eat before the state meet at Olive Garden. Not once was there a notion that my coach could pay for the meal even if he had wanted to.

I am just saying at least in Webb's case there is actual eye witness proof he broke the rules.

Do not get me wrong I love cheering for Webb I just wish some people around here would get of their moral high horses.

I would like to steer away from the Kip discussion. Mainly because these are two completely different situations. Kip knowingly cheated (if he did). Webb and his teammates might not have known the rules they were breaking by letting the meet director treat them nicely.

Better yet they did NOT break any rules. Like I said earlier, local businesses support HS teams ALL THE F***ING TIME. There is nothing suspicious at all, they got a dinner and a ball cap, BFD, kids that go to Foot Locker get multiple meals and a plane ticket, go F*** with them.

I've never heard of anyone receiving benefits from local businesses.

Local businesses helped pay for my hs team to travel to a national meet.

Most people would (rightly) see the difference between breaking a rule that has no impact on the outcome of a race, and a rule that does.

Morality is not a case of absolute liability. It has an element of intent and of harm caused.
