My best friend in high school. Knowing him has let me know that there really are genuinely good people out there.
I like to think that almost every time I have a choice to make I make the good, ethical, moral choice. But, the evil, bad choice pops into my head every time. I am probably like most people in that respect.
With this guy, he not only always makes the right choices, I am convinced it never even occurs to him not to. He's good to everybody always, has no chips on his shoulder whatsoever, and does this and is considered to be cool by everybody at the same time. He works in a human services job, is active in his church, volunteers a ton of time, and calls no attention to himself.
But, this must be rare, because I have met a lot of really great people in my life, but he is the only one I know who had goodness so ingrained in his DNA. Hard to explain really.
