Yes, as I said above, liberals have adopted virtually every belief of socialists, then fight being called socialists.
As far as the guy picking communism as the way to go, it's a nice idea till it's put into practice. It's never worked. Communist party elites end up controlling the pot of wealth to be redistributed, and favor themselves, their friends and their families.
In that regard, modern U.S. Democrats and Republicans, both fight to control the tax revenues, or increas the national debt for their own benefit and that of their supporters. It's the worst part of the Communist experience.
The answer is to get the money out of the government, where it is the piggy bank of the corrupt government builders and workers.
Want to make government more honest, defund it dramatically. Many of the leeches will leave it and many not engaging in productive activity, because of the lucrative government rewards for their votes and continued laziness will do actual work, making things, and doing things, instead of just receiving and consuming.
Communism and socialism are the easiest ideas ever and the ones that work the worst. Spending out of someone else's wallet is not only greedy, it's a losing system, similar to harvesting without planting. Everyone wants to get more for doing less, instead of getting more by doing more. Quickly, very quickly, there is less to take and share, as productive people become as non productive as you and your socialist friends, planning as you do, how to spend the fruits of other people's efforts.
Says, the socialist/communist I think I'll build a nice high rise condominium for the party members with the money you make from your business. Oh, you don't want to work harder and more than the party members, just so they get a free house? That's okay, the party will take over your business and run it. Then, soon, the business is ruined by the party members.
Sound far fetched? Look at public education, a huge failure, thanks to the government that provides a substandard product. Look at the bailouts of the banks, the health care bailout of insurance companies, FEMA fiascos after storms, etc. The people get more passive, wanting to receive, rather than make and what the government gives is less and less.
Jobs are headed overseas, unemployment is high, debts in America, both personal and govermental are ballooning. The culture of receiving benefits is a loser's game. Legislating more and more benefits just makes everything end sooner and worse for everyone involved, except for a chosen few, who will not be the people the government said it was helping.
Oh, I love the deception by both communists and socialists calling everyone else right wing. It's just a cheap technique to make those who are the enemies of everyone else (the socialists and communists) appear to be the enemies of just a few. It was never true, the socialists and communists are the plotters and schemers of take over, from everyone else. Their enemies are the people who hear them speak their false claims and read their false promises. They hate the rest of us, unless we capitulate. If you resist, they call you "right wing." If it's me, I get called that name, or worse.
