WRONG
John Force won his 15th Nitro Fuel Funny Car championship as a driver and 16th as an owner this year. And yeah, he got started "down under" with you blokes.
i'm going with the OP, Kelly Slater is more dominant than anyone I can think of in a real sport. And yes, suring is a real sport, just like running.
If John Force was an owner this year, he's not currently competing. Being an "owner" is not being a competitor, i.e. a sportsman. Plus, KS is ten times WORLD CHAMPION, which is far more impressive than winning a regional event.
How does Shaun White compare to Kelly Slater? I don't follow either sports, but I remember my mouth being on the floor after Shaun's 2nd run at the Winter Olympics.
Floyd Mayweather Junior. 41-0 with 25 KOs as a Pro since 1996. Thats 14 years undefeated, and 11 years since he won his first Title. He was also 84-6 as an amature (including the "loss" at the '96 Olympics where everyone that watched, including the ref thought Mayweather won, except the "judges"). He has won WORLD TITLES in FIVE different weight classes.
He is a multi-car team owner. He had a hired driver win a championship a few years back. And the N.H.R.A. crowns WORLD CHAMPIONS, at least that is engraved on my trophy. Many Aussie, Canadian, Mexician, Qutar, Carribean and European racers compete here the US either by renting equipment or shipping their stuff over. And US racers go to the Middle East, Europe and Australia.
Your surfing crap is regional. I live inland. We don't surf in my region.
Being an "owner" and using a "hired driver" is not competing; therefore it is not being a sportsman. Plus, surfing probably has more participants than all forms of motor racing combined. Someone mentioned a boxer's five world titles, which is phenomenal. However, KS has TEN!

This may not be true. Last census numbers indicated about 9.5 million people play football in the United States...about 1.6 million Surf. I could find no worldwide totals for American Football participation, but the fact that there are now leagues of it in over 70s countries would make me guess participation is at least 15 million....I found WILDLY different estimates for surfing, ranging from a low of 5 million to a high of 23 million worldwide. But the fact is there are no stable totals of either.
Manny Pacquiao

No I mentioned he held the World Title at five different weight classes....he has HELD a world title in at least one weight class for ELEVEN CONSECUTIVE YEARS and he defended those title in over TWENTY bouts....and I said before, he hasn't lost a bout in FOURTEEN YEARS.

Maybe, but Pacquiao isnt undefeated like Mayweather, and his refusal to submit to WADA style drug-testing has robbed us of the ability to find out which of these two fighters is the best.
Players in NFL football leagues outside the US can be counted on one hand. However, the person who mentioned Mayweather does have a valid point. It appears he's more decorated than KS, incredible.
Except Mayweather hasn't fought anyone of substance in a long time.
Motor sports, Gravity sports like surfing and skiing, Ice sports like hockey and ice skating, Animal racing, etc. are not athletics.
Everything was good until you included hockey - the most physical sports out there. I'm Canadian - I must defend hockey.
Every sport, running included, is a battle against gravity. Surfing is a sport requiring talent, training, a competitive nature, fitness, and courage. It's as difficult as any event in track and field.

??? His last four fights were Sugar Shane, Juan Marquez, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. Now Pacquiao has fought eight fights in the time Mayweather did those four, and one since, but Mayweather was retired for a year during that time. In that period, Pacquiao also fought Hatton, De La Hoya and Marquez (who is currently the fourth ranked PfP boxer in the world behind those two and Sergio Martinez) and Pacquiao's next fight is Sugar Shane. Antonio Margarito is probably the only one of substance he didnt fight in that time, and he was out of boxing for cheating after the Mosley fight....who else was he supposed to fight? Clotto? Barerra?...just Pacquiao. And as I said, that could have happened if Pacquiao would submit to real drug testing. Now it will probably never happen if Mayweather ends up in jail for any period of time.
The moons gravity creates the tides and surf. Surfers just glide on that. Same with snow skiiers and jumpers. Ice has very Low kinetic resistance and is like one dimensional weightlessness so ice sports are not athletics. Lacrosse and gymnastics however, are athletics.
If Pacman submitted to drug testing now it wouldn't matter. He has had money long enough now to hire people who can get him around the drug testers like Mayweather, Armstrong, Symmonds, Cliff Lee, Solinsky, etc. Like Conte's book says, it's child's play to get around dope testing.
