They should be fired. We don't need to see them on ESPN. Drop the face from the tele and show the effing players for once. Just hire interns and actors to read the news and annouce.

Costas really turned me off when he criticized Usain Bolt for excessive celebrating during the 100 final at Beijing. The guy had just run the greatest 100 in history and defeated the field effortlessly and rather than celebrate it, Costas takes issue with Bolt hitting his chest a few times. Then again I really like crazy touchdown dances so maybe a lot of people feel the way Costas does.
in the internet age those little pricks like costas, buck, etc. don't matter. why are the even on tv at all. there are so many interns they can hire for free.
To a large degree, I agree with that last post. I don't really care if sports announcers are awful. I pay almost no attention to them. I can see what's going on.
I'm not a big pro sports fan, but I do watch the NFL from time to time. But I certainly don't watch all that pre-game nonsense. I'll read a book.
costas, patrick, buck do sports. it's controlled by the leagues, teams, TV networks. there's no news, no mystery there. it's all staged public relations. as fake as ufc, wwe, and mma. those clowns are not real journalists. they just read p.r. copy. they aren't like the norwegian dude on cnn who went on ops with taliban freedom fighters in afghanistan and was kidnapped and has to pay a ransom to get his freedom back.
