I figure the USA would be hard-pressed to break 9:10.
1200 - 2:48
400 - :44
800 - 1:46
1600 - 3:52
Total- 9:10
Thoughts?

those are good splits for our guys - though i think the 1600 leg might be a bit optimistic.
maybe shave a few tenths off the quarter leg. 800 could go a bit faster too if everything went right.
Undoubtably the best thread in a long time....
US All Time team might have to be
Liquori
MJ
Gray
Scott
does this work, or is it impossible to have a US All Time DMR without ryun on it?
its possible to omit ryun, but why put on liquori? there are quite a few americans with better times than him.
This thread topic has been discussed several times before. It generally evolves into the question/thought of it being an olympic event and how great it would be. I agree it would be a great event.

We just did this last week. Ryun would have run a monster 1200. He ran a 51:Xx second lap in an 880. Also Wottle, Wolhuter, Paige, belger, etc. Liquori was more of a 2 miler.
Wouldn't it be wild if the DMR was an Olympic event? Yah. That would be great.
While we're on the subject, what could the current crop of Canadians do in a DMR?
Brannen - 2:54
Niemi - 46
Tadilli - 1:45
Sullivan - 3:50
=9:15, if my math is right.
brannen would obviously go faster outdoors. if willis has run 2:49, you have to imagine brannen could get close to that.
I would love to see the current crop of Ethiopians vs. the Kenyans in an all-star DMR.
I don't think Kenya would run away with it, either. In fact, I think Ethiopia might take it!
How about a 2004 NCAA team:
Brannen (Mi)
Harris (SC)
Johnson (TxT)
Robison (Stan)
or
Willis (Mi)
Steele (Mn)
Joseph (FL)
Cragg (AR)
