They were being way too nice to him a year ago and still are.
I think of a guy hopped in there and said "I'm a guy", and the IAAF let him run, the women would still not say much.
I guess that's because they are classy, and focused on doing their best whatever the obstacles.
But it's still not right to let him run with the women.
It's not right, and everyone should speak up against the travesty so it stops.

Track and Field was the one place the rules mattered. Letting this hermaphrodite compete with women is not only unfair to women, it undermines the entire sports credibility.
Has anyone watched the video of the race? She makes a mockery of it by staying in the middle of the pack and then weaving in and out in the last 50. At least it was entertaining.

There is no doubt Caster was taking it easy all the way... could have won by 20 meters. You could see the look of frustration/anger on the ladies behind.

this seems like an unduly cynical perspective. she "weaves" in the last straightaway exactly once. she tries to pass on the inside, sees the opening closing and shifts to the outside of lane 1/ inside of lane 2. she seems to be running all out after that point.
as for the earlier parts of the race, she's holding back, yes, but wouldn't any athlete racing at the top level for the first time in over a year? (in an 800)
that said, as we all discussed last year in depth, this is a challenging situation. i hope the IAAF imposed some sort of hormone testing. she doesn't look as ripped as she did last year, which may reflect hormone treatment or it may be a sign that she didn't work out quite as hard this year due to uncertainty regarding IAAF procedures.
as much as the caster semenya of last year appeared to clearly be over any sensible line for defining female for athletic purposes, the issue of line drawing is certainly rife with difficulty. there isn't a single world championships finalist who is not a genetic outlier. even with hard training and dedication, there is something extremely unique and special (in an athletic sense) about their dna.

I think you are incorrect.
There is one open division for anyone who can qualify, regardless of gender (but so far only men have been able to qualify).
Then there is another division for women only. I figure, to be in that division, one needs to be 100% female, otherwise, compete in the open division.

So women are the default category for all hermaphrodites with distinctly male genital and hormonal characteristics.
Hmmmm..... Peter Tegen told me in 1992 that Ma's Chinese Army were Men posing as Women racing against Women and were all hermaphrodites. Funny how only 1-2 of those Chinese athletes ever raced outside of China.
They had the distinct advantage of a cheating federation backing them up at the Asian games with the International doping lab in Beijing.

she doesnt get congratulated by any of the actual females who just raced, seems to indicate a lack of respect to me. when i get beat i always give the guy a little hand shake or some sort of acknowledgement that he was better than me on that day.

You seem to be forgetting one thing here. Semenya has testicles. The other ladies that compete against her do not.

so the line for you is testicles (would one testicle do it?). does that mean that your line must be the one adopted? why? would most people around the world, when confronted with a human being with a vagina and no penis, say that the person in question is male? or not female?
i'm not even saying i disagree with your drawing of the line. i just don't know why it must be the line.
and who do we test? world record breakers? gold medalists? all finalists?
semenya is the "easy" case and the IAAF can't even handle it properly.

There is a reason the IAAF cannot form a policy on this issue. There is no binary answer to this question.
