Man Drinks 13 Beers While Running 13 Miles at SF Half-Marathon

So the guy's 13 beers consisted of Tecate, Hoegaardens and Modelo Especial? Big freaking deal; he basically drank 13 waters. (And don't be lured in by the fact that he provided ABV percentages; those beers are weak.)

If pansies like this want to impress anyone with this crap, then they need to complete the challenge by drinking the likes of Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale, Upland's Ard Ri Imperial Ale and/or any number of wee mac heavy microbrews. I'm not saying I could do it, but these wannabe hashers should be prepared to drink real beer if they're going to prop themselves up as beer drinking studs.

A beer is a beer, some are lighter than others but either way 13 beers is impressive while running 13 miles even if it is Coors light or Guinness. Even if it was a unimpressive time and a feat that I feel many of us can do...I myself am pretty confident I can do it under 3 hours.

1) If he really did this, it's stupid.

2) If he didn't do this, it's still stupid; glorifies binge drinking which is stupid.

3) It's not impressive.

4) As it is my opinion that only sophomoric barely old enough to drink stupid people would find this even remotely interesting, I'm a tab bit disappointed that Wejo posted this. Just because someone does something while running does not make it noteworthy.

So, why did I bother to read it then? Gotta read about stupid people to know what stupid is.

Nope, not fancy beer. Just good beer. If people would simply stop letting themselves be influenced by mass advertising and branch out a little bit, they would learn what good beer tastes like and forever leave behind whatever canned piss they buy for $15 a 30-pack.

It's only a matter of time before someone in our litigious society sues Miller for calling its Lite beer "good."

We have the Alcohaul 10K each November in Fort Wayne, Ind. and the winner routinely breaks 44 minutes and several runners break 50 minutes.

I realize this is ONLY 6 beers and 6.2 miles (beer, 1+miles x 6) but I'm sure many of us can drink another 7 beers and jog another 7 miles in another 90 minutes.
