It seems to me that a lot of you guys have runner goggles. You think that running is everything, that we all need to be obsessed wtih running. C'mon guys take off the goggles and realize that there is more to life than running.

Yeah, maybe if you're a fat @$$!
My typical diet
Breakfast
Sausage egg and cheese biscuit with gravy
Muffin
Bowl of a ceral
Cup of Coffee
Lunch
2/3 pound cheeseburger with fries
water
Afternoon cup of coffee
Dinner
Pizza, typically 1/2 to a large depending on how hungry I am
3 to 4 beers
For the first few months of the year I was doing a 100 pushups a day. A few weeks ago I bought a weight set and I am now lifting weights for 30 minutes a day. I am also taking creatine after lifting.
1) Terrible diet
2) Clearly a troll.
3) Went from 7/10 to 1/10.
Okay if this is a bad diet. Can somebody give me some direction as to what a good weight gain diet should look like.

Breakfast:
Oatmeal and peanut butter-- a lot.
Eggs (whole or whites as you prefer)
Cottage Cheese (fat free or 2% as you prefer)
Piece of fruit
Lunch:
Couple of pieces of fruit
Handful of almonds
Turkey sandwich
Dinner:
1lb of your favorite veggies (sounds like a lot, but it's really just about two bowls full)
1lb of some sort of lean meat
whatever else you want on the side.
fruit and nuts as snacks.
But the most important thing: lift weights.
I gained 10 lbs over the summer running 90 mpw. then i lost 12 during xc season to get back to "racing weight" of 128lbs! I am sure it is possible. I gained the weight cuz I always ate a box of pasta before bed.
If you want to impress the girls, I guarantee that you don't want to gain weight. Your weight is actually ideal.
1) You need to gain muscle not gain weight.
2) You need to clean your gut by adding more natural foods to your diet (greens, fruits, omega fats)
Go invest in a Blendtec Blender and drink a glass of green smoothie (youtube: green smoothie) three times a day.
3) Get at least 15 minutes of direct sunlight everyday during the summer to replenish your vitamin D
4) Get at min of 6 hours of sleep every night.

Thank you for the advice is. The thing I wonder about is I have ate like crap for the last few years. A lot of grease and a lot of junk food, but I haven't put on the weight. How is eating healthy going to give me more pounds.
Sure, it's possible to gain weight while running 60 mpw. It's difficult, but very doable if you approach it the right way. However, your goal of weighing 180 by Thanksgiving is ridiculous. Gaining 30 healthy, meaningful pounds is very difficult for someone completely focused on it, let alone a dedicated a runner.
Most weight people gain quickly is from simply carrying more water. You'd surprised how much 5-10 pounds of lean muscle mass will show up on your physique. Just set reasonable goals.
