Actually 2008 was the best year on record for 100m with 9.83 for the 10th (and 11th) fastest performances. A possible drop to 9.79 would be a 0.4% improvement. Not special (or insane) in my opinion.

Yes, I know Wariner does some 200's.

But he doesn't train for them, obviously. And he runs low 20., with absolutely no start!

I'd still like to see Wariner train for, and run, the 200. Powell, also.

I know why some guys don't like the 200--the curve can be weird, and if you're not used to it, you can hurt yourself running it. Not worth it, unless you know what you're doing and you have a good lane draw.
