Evolution is a theory only, so agreeing in it 100% might be a bit strong. But, the evidence does support the theory. There is no evidence that creationism/intelligent design has ever occurred. What should you believe: a theory that actually has quite a bit of evidence to support it, or a theory that has no evidence to support it? I know which one I choose.

I am a Christian myself and have doubts about the story of Noah building an arc, but I do not see how the not-100%-factual accuracy of a book written several thousands of years ago based on oral history negatively affects the trustworthiness of the Gospel writers when they talk about a Jewish carpenter from Nazareth.

As St. Augustine argued in 400 BC, before Darwin was even thought of, the Old Testament does not have to be 100% in order for us to believe Jesus died for our sins. Many Christians today pin theirs hopes on the theory that the great early Jewish writers were recording literal history, and I imagine there is some limited truth to these writers' accounts, but their purpose was NOT to record history for later generations, but write about man's relationship to God. Augustine himself said we should go with whatever the evidence suggests before the scientific process was even invented to generate credible evidence.
The writers of the Old Testament did not mean to have their words tracked as if a camera set down 4000odd years ago would have demonstrated the same things as their words, but they still conveyed truth in a different sense and, as Augustine argues, we go against the Old testament writers' purposes when we literally accept their stories, and we make ourselves offputting to learned contemporaries.

I'm dumbfounded that someone can say with a straight face that such things make sense. Of course they use the "you have to have faith" catch phrase, and once that's been bandied about, you can no longer utilize logic with said person.
Let's address each of these very interesting questions in order. First, a boat would have to be very big to hold a pair of every animal in the world. By very big I mean something like 135x22.5x13.5 meters, the dimensions mentioned in the Bible. These dimensions were converted to meters using the standard conversion factor of 18 inches/1 cubit, though many scholars argue that larger sized cubits were often used.
If all of the animals existed on the same continent, it would not be impossible to bring them all to the middle east before the flood. Christian scholars believe that the splitting of the continents occurred after the tower of Babylon was built, or chronologically after the flood described in the Bible. This also answers the question of how the animals dispersed.
Obviously, some faith is required to believe that God caused the animals to come to the ark and then flood the earth. It's pretty stupid to try to justify any religion without considering faith. However, a little research combined with some "logic" will at least make the story plausible, and perhaps make you slightly less "dumbfounded."

Genesis 6:15 in the Bible tells us the Ark's dimensions were at least 135 meters long (300 cubits), 22.5 meters wide (50 cubits), and 13.5 meters high (30 cubits). What makes logical sense is to think of the World as what people back them though it was. That means the "Known World" which is only the area you are familiar with, and people you know are familiar with. Other parts of the "World" were simply not involved.
If the Noah flood is real it was a localized even, possibly with far reaching impacts but not enough to wipe out animals, and people, around the entire planet.
If Noah's story is taken "too" literally then why are their Asians, Native Americans, New Guineans, etc., on the planet? Everyone should look like Noah and those he carried on his little boat. Not logical.

What makes logical sense is to think of the World as what people back them though it was. That means the "Known World" which is only the area you are familiar with, and people you know are familiar with. Other parts of the "World" were simply not involved.

It's the remains of a boat that probably carried some animals. To say that that proves the story of Noah's Ark is a rather enormous leap.
