I wouldn't call it unreal. It's basically a 44:00 15k with an hour rest in the middle, isn't it?

There's probably a lot of guys capable of running this double in the NCAA.

wow, malmo and EGS. I see in typical letsrun fashion you guys did not look at results and made arrogant assumptions. The kid just got 5th at indoor nationals setting a huge personal best, and was running at his home meet and was helping out his teammates judging by getting second in both the 5k and 10k to his teammates. Get off your high horse and let the kids run. It was great to see Jon Grey run well and set a new outdoor pr in the 5k and run well. The kid went from 14:11 5k and 30:06 10k double last year to a 13:54 and 30:08 double this year much earlier and as a pacing effort instead of a championship level race. Its good to see all the runners in the NCAA stepping it up and running well for themselves and their teammates. Best of luck to all of the W&M guys and all the other athletes this year!

no one is saying grey isn't a good runner- he obviously is.

but it isn't surprising or particularly amazing that he came back and ran 30:08. it is likely he was helping pence. no one is criticizing him for doing that; they are just say that time isn't "unreal." and they are right.

The comments were only pointing out the lack of amazement that a quality NCAA runner could run that double.

You're the one interpreting the comments as negative towards the runner.

Few of the miscreants who posted on this thread would even know who Tommy Fulton is. I don't think he'd be giggling, but he would have some perspective that is lacking here.
