The BEST OVERALL indoor track is at Penn State. They have a hydraulic-banked Mondo track, allowing a full bank for sprints around the track, a half bank for distance races, and flatten out for sprints. The 60M is down the middle. However, they have a full-time facilities crew that moves the HJ pit (about 5 minutes) for sprints/hurdles. They also have a 60M x 60M artificial turf field at the end of the sprint straightaway so the athletes can run thru the finish line wide open. This field also accommodates the throws venue, and team tents/medical tents, etc.
The facility also has several meeting rooms.
They have four permanent-mounted Lynx cameras mounted in the overhead joists; two for the sprint straightaway, and two for the oval finish line.
They allow NO food on the track area.
This is the fifth year the track has been opened, and it looks brand new.
The only drawback to the facility is the seating, which is less than 1000.
Still, overall, it is the best Indoor facility I have seen, and I have seen most of the major ones.
