Drinking Alone

Do it all the time. I like to do lots of activities while drinking alone too such as: reading, video games, movies, letsrun message board rants, and of course the good ol' drunken beat off.

The good old drunken beat off is great....but I usually wait too long and end up "unable".

Quit force feeding yourself and you might have better luck.

i was just thinking about this recently. I love to to to a bar or club and drink alone, but everyone else i know seems to be uncomfortable with it. I like to just sit back and observe people. This is an entertaining activity anywhere, especially in a bar.

Maybe I am weird, but I have never gone to a bar alone, and I have never beat off after drinking. I honestly do not beat off that much at all, believe it or not.

I am married though, so I don't have much of a reason to do either.

I like drinking alone more than drinking with others, but I don't really like drinking. Some of the people I've drank with seemed out of their mind after only two drinks though, so I think that might have left a bad taste in my mouth. I had more self control after 3 drinks and 3 shots than they did after one. Maybe they were just using the drinks as an excuse to let their inner crazy out?

I think I like drinking alone more than with other people. And I'm talking about getting something like 12-beers-drunk while I watch movies or read - or this last weekend, watch the Olympics. I go out sometimes, too, but when you're alone you don't have to worry about saying something stupid and regretting something (besides drinking) the next morning. I like just a few good friends over sometimes, but I'm really not into the bar/party scene anymore. And I'm only 23. I'm gonna be such a codger in my later years, I can tell.

PS. I used to use the "moc nurstel" moniker, so I had to check the date to make sure I didn't create this thread on one of my lonely benders. I didn't.

A good movie with a couple good beers, or a couple glasses of Jameson. That time well spent by one's self.

Me too. It turns me into a cheap date.

I like to have 8 or 10 beers and a couple wacks of vodka by myself while watching Meet Me in St. Louis - I'm serious.

I drink a beer and watch taped races on flotrack. I'm 37 and single.

Nothing better then a six pack and a Yankee game...

I also love drinking alone. The best time is out camping in the deep woods alone with a campfire. Really gets the thoughts going about the universe & life.

Bars & clubs are great to go to solo, because the possibilities of meeting & talking with others is more likely than when with a group. Just get out on the dance floor & ladies will invite you to join their dancing circle & wha la.

I drink the most at home solo, because no drive afterwards, so drink up.

I woke up this morning and got myself a beer.

It's Friday night. I'm planning on having a drink or ten tonight by myself. So many decisions....I have a full bottle of dark rum, but I have a hankering for beer and martinis. Hmmm....do I go to the store and get ingredients or do I go to the one shitty bar that I can walk to from my house?

That should say beer OR martinis. I'm not one of those people that says you should never mix beer and liquor, but I don't go looking for trouble either!
