Aaron Stockstell and yes hes from Iowa and runs at Bama. I do remember seeing him quadruple but I don't remember the times exactly.
I wanna say the 1:49 was a SMR split and he ran 1:50 open.
This isn't limited to running events. I'd be interested to see how many have done a combo of field and running events at a high level.

Pretty impressive for Owens that he still holds the OSU record for the LJ and 100.
The 8 X 800 is intriguing. Many schools have no chance of having 8 guys able to run good times. That would be a great race to see at Penn Relays. I'll bet some surprises would happen.
My sis in high school at IL sectionals:
LJ - 18'5"
200 - 25.6
800 (split) - 2:21
200 (split) - 25s

John Zishka in the late 70's or early 80's ran around 8:49, 4:10, 1:53 and may have run a :51 in the 4X400. I am not sure about the relay so it might not be a quad.
I think Chris Sanders or Joe Greene has the OSU long jump record, not Jesse Owens.

College is fine too. I just didn't think many people try quadruples in college. Well, conference may be the exception. Scott MacPhaerson had a nice quad last year at SECs.

I remember RG then. He wasn't even consistently the best MG/PG county runner then. Guy from Lanham who ran in mariahs occaisonally beat him indoors. But it all came together in June.
