Your evidence for Adams State beating Ok State is the jamboree, the first meet of the year for both teams and a race that neither Ryan Vail nor German Fernandez ran.
And then you say that W&M and NAU beating Adams State at the jamboree doesn't matter.
Adams State is a great team, but comparisons such as this are silly. Why don't you just leave it be?
Agreed, comparisons are pointless. I'm not making any claims to Adams State winning D1, but a couple of things. One, Mwei, who won DII, was sick at the Jamboree. Put him anywhere near a typical performance and they win that day. Doesn't mean anything, but Adams isn't even given credit when they do win a DI meet (see Griak '08). Two, the idiot who thinks Adams couldn't compete well in the Mountain Region is absolutely clueless. Get over your insecurities.
It's unfortunate that many at the DI level won't give Adams (or Western) their due when deserved. It's unfortunate when people start claiming Adams (or Western) would win this or that. Like you said, let's just leave it be.
As a cross fan, this is my favorite time of the year. Man, it was awesome seeing it unfold at both the DI and DII levels. Congrats to all those you earned the opportunity to compete at the national level.
