Well, a lot of poor people smoke. Plus, they tend to work blue collar jobs. Nothing ages you like cigs and hard labor.
A rich 50 year old can look better than a poor 30 year old.
While this certainly holds water, I would argue against hard labor aging one more than sitting behind a computer all day.
Obviously it depends on the labor, but I find wealthy women tend to look a lot better than their male counterparts.
As a fairly wealthy guy who is good looking (flame all you want), I find that I am rather unique in my social circle. Most of my friends are overweight with bad breath. Their wives, though, are pretty hot for the most part. I have always been a runner, through HS, college and beyond. I have always had other labor-intensive activities as well, such as sailing, carpentry and horses. I think these things have made me more attractive, honestly. If I just sat behind my computer all day prior to bellying up at the Club, I don't think I would look as good.
Due to my activities, I watch what I eat and drink. I tend to have 3 or 4 strong beers if I plan to go out. My friends drink a case of bud light. That is largely why they are so fat, that and the fact that they eat at the Men's grill at the club and order friend chicken, steaks, etc for LUNCH every weekday without their wives knowing.
I am 32, so these are not old men i am talking about.
So my argument would be that while upper class women look A LOT better, the men tend to look worse.
