Are middle to upper class more attractive than lower class

Poor girls might be ugly but they will let you do anything.

I mean anything.

I hang out at the lower class bars and flash twenties. You wouldn't believe the tail I get.

I don't have have very expensive tastes (can't afford it at the moment) and I don't mind wearing the same old clothes year after year, don't care about traveling and I don't have car. I don't even go to the hair salon.

However, I spend hundreds of dollars on cosmetics in the department store. Yes, it does make a difference. And for the first time ever I find myself wishing I were rich so that when I get older I can get botox, chemical peels or whateter's available. So, yeah, it's easier to look good when you have money. Beauty does come from within and all that, but it helps if you have the time/money to work on it.

I was referring 'fake' in a personality sense since the original person I was addressing , decided to pick on a Republican. Don't read too much into it.

To the people who think just because someone has money, doesn't necessarily mean they use money to enhance their beauty, plenty natural beauty in all types of classes.

Common vibrations, energy and soul mates have no boundaries or class barriers.

this has varied historically, depending on the fashions of the different classes and the general affluence of the society in different measures. the rich are currently thinner; in the past, they have been fatter. then there is the prenatal nutrition, which affects looks and height and weight significantly.

a) time to work out

c) the money for proper dental care

Try hauling bundles of shingles up a ladder for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, weather be-damned, for a few years...then come back and tell us sailing and horses are hard work.

Yes, and those people include you.

Maybe you haul shingles b/c you have no idea how to properly interpret what someone has written. Where did he say that sailing or riding horses was harder work than hauling shingles?

I agree with what he is saying, which is that physical exertion (running, working out) typically keeps you more youthful looking (a la the rich housewives). Most wealthy men do not do anything physically strenuous, ever.

Learn to read. You might get a better job.

The guys and women I know from my running clubs, etc. have aged fabulously but I think there is a huge difference between regular exercise and manual labor. The woman I've talked w/ or dated who have worked in factories (generally indoor factories, not outside work) have not aged very well. I think the hard work contributes to that. It may be different for men and women, too, I'm not sure.

In order to be fit it means giving up things like rich fatty foods. I think those of us that are lucky enough to have some cash give up this stuff because it's an option.

If you work (I mean WORK) for living and the one or two things you can enjoy is a tasty meal and some beer, well you do it. You don't have the time or money to give yourself any other rewards.

Also, after going to my 20 yr reunion the women especially the former XC runners, looked great. Most guys looked like pure hell- fat losing hair- just terrible.

Come on now. Horse riding guy was using himself as an example of how hard labor doesn't necessarily age you. I think it's fair for someone else to call him on it.

This about nails it. Everyone needs something to look forward on a daily basis to keep from getting depressed, going crazy, and blowing your brains out.

For some its beer. It seems for most poor women, however, its food. A lot of them think putting on 50 pounds since high school when you're in your thirties is normal.

Actually for the extreme poor it starts much earlier.

The other thing is for educated women with good jobs there is pressure to stay fit. They work hard at it, even the single moms who work 50 hours a week find time to run or work out at the gym a few times a week.

No, I was not clear.

I just wanted to make the point that a lot of wealthy guys are not very attractive. Often, they are way off the mark in comparison to their wives, meaning they marry women who are MUCH better looking than they are.

I am not even coming close to saying that horse riding, sailing and running are more difficult than hard labor, I was just trying to point out that strenuous activity can be good for the aging process. I thought I clarified this with my opening sentence, but looking back it is very vague.

It obviously depends on the work. I know a few guys in my running club who are blue collar workers - a metalsmith, a carpenter and stone mason. Yes, it sounds like I am from biblical ages but i just live in a city that requires a lot of historical renovations. Anyway, these guys look great. They tend to have lower stress, active lifestyles and so forth. Obviously that is much different than someone who might work in a factory or haul shingles in the hot sun.

Exactly. When people start to equate exercise with manual labor, you know they've never done manual labor.

Working an assembly line 8 hours a day ages you. Running 8 miles a day does not. Very simple.
