Hey OP. You need to strengthen your foot. Exercises like picking up and scrunching towels with your feet maybe.
Also, there's something out there called "Correct Toes". Look it up. They hold your toes in the correct position and it's meant to help your foot work properly.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm seriously looking into it as I have a foot problem which I believe is from my toes pulling upwards, which then puts a lot of pressure on the ball of my foot and the metatarsal fat pad isn't in the right place. It feels like walking on a bone sometimes and it absolutely sucks.
Anyway, personally, I'd steer clear of orthotics. I found they made things worse and it was a total waste of money.
