Well, I am afraid that like Nicole Blood, Hasay has reaced her peak in HS. She will I think he a top 10 XC runner at Nats, but the hype has been extinguished with this effort which is inferior to her PR's from the previous 3 years.
I wonder if this years Footlocker Crop will be like the Trotter/Odlaug/Roetter year where none of them ever even achieved AA status? Fifth placer Molly huddle is the only runner who ever did from the high finishers.
She just needs someone to run with. She's pwn in college.
I think the fact that she was on 9:24 pace through 800 kind of doomed any record attempt.
Anybody know what happened to Dunne? She hugh with Hassay early then faded badly. At some point she dropped out, but I didn't see where.
Dunne was having heel problems the week before this, she gave it a go but was just too much.
I think Jordan could smash the 3200 record, she just didn't get enough distance work in with her illness this spring. The plan was a fast first lap then run 74's til the last lap, but she just didn't have that kick in her legs at lap 7 and 8.

Or she went out too fast and fell off at the end, just like every other high school runner in the nation.
Flotrack's video showed her going out in the first 800 meters at 2:20 where she would have only needed a 2:26...she probably new she was fit and wanted to take a stab at the record but 2:20 is a little too fast to make that happen..
HASAY EPIC FAILED. Wow, burned out and washed up.
