Boston Celtics will lose TWICE in the next week!

You live and die with whatever ESPN says? They have never been wrong though, huh? Everyone of their analysts said that the Celtics were still the better team after the game. So I guess the Celtics still are the better team genius.

Stephen A. Smith said that the Lakers can't beat the Celtics in a 7 game series because they are too soft.

Bynum would have made a 30 point difference? Are we talking about Bynum or kareem? Bynum can make up for a team's lack of effort? And he can make up for Kobe bryant shooting like crap? I bet if the Lakers had Bynum last year in the playoffs, they would not have lost a game. The guy is that good.

The Home Court Advantage played a major role in yesterday's game. The referees were dreadful. But that is clearly wahat the NBA wants to create more buzz. Yup, conspiracy theory.

Was it important or a fun game to watch between two rivals? It's the same thing when the Yankees play the Red Sox in April. Does it really matter?

You have two teams, in which the game meant different things to. To the Lakers, this game was huge. To the Lakers it means getting back a tiny little bit of respect from last year's butt-whooping. The fact is, LA needed this win a lot more than Boston did. Kobe played 43 minutes, while only averaging 35 a game this season. Of course that number is a bit skewed, but you saw Kobe on the floor a lot. The announcers even made a point of that. The Celtics had Pierce on the bench with 8 minutes to go. The reality is this game meant a lot more to the Lakers than it did the Celts. You combine that, with being at home and getting a couple calls to go their way, and that's the game. I'm not saying which team is better, I just don't think it's an accurate judge of who will win it all this year. Even Derek Fisher said this after the game:

"I do think that last year they were able to come into the Finals with a lot of confidence that comes with knowing they could beat us," Fisher said. "Especially having come here and beat us. So I don't think there was any real stress on their part, I don't know if they really felt threatened by playing us. I don't know if this game will change that. We'll have to see when we go to Boston in February."

Either way, I think you'll see these two teams back in the finals with a much more competitive series than it was last year.

This is what Celtics haters said last year, however the Celtics had a better regular season record against Western Conference teams than against Eastern Conference teams. They had 66 wins and beat every western team during the regular season (except Jazz I think) including the Lakers, Hornets, Rockets, Spurs, Suns, Mavs, and Nuggets. So that theory is moot. The Hawks, Cavs and Pistons were closer to beating the Celtics in the playoffs in 2008 than the Lakers were - does that mean that the Lakers were weaker competition than the Hawks, Cavs and Pistons?

The Lakers beat the Celtics at home, that is to be expected. Until the Lakers beat the Celtics in Boston in February - and I will be at that game watching, I still think Boston is the best team in the NBA this year. You can't just take a single game and conclude that one team is better than the other. The Lakers lost to the Kings earlier this season, does that mean the Kings are better than the Lakers? LoL.

It is still early in the season and things are not certain. A Celtics vs. Lakers finals rematch is certainly possible but that is too far to predict. Remember that the big trades last year (like Gasol) didn't happen until mid-way. The Celtics may not be the best in the East come April/May, with how well the Magic and Cavs are playing lately. Likewise, the Lakers may not be the best team in the west. The Spurs are always strong come playoff time after a mediocre regular season. Who knows, the Rockets could surprise if their big 3 are healthy and the Hornets have the potential to take over as well.

You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but that may be a tough sell now that they are 0-2 on their west coast road trip. "Toto, I don't think we're in Boston any more! That's right Dorothy, the Eastern Conference cupcakes are far away. If you're lucky, Doc Rivers will drag his boys home with a .500 record on the west coast swing, but I wouldn't count on it.

LA and Boston fans can have their petty arguments, but it makes no difference. In June, both teams will have to bow before the might of the KING, who will claim his rightful place on the throne of the NBA. Next two titles are going to Cleveland, and then the King will move his capital to New York, and take another 5-6 titles in the following 8 years or so.

If you don't like LeBron, now is the time to learn to like him.
