Wonder if EPO blood doping delays child birth.

Radcliffe doesn't have any children...yet!
Fact is, Nderba has a daughter, but spends less than six months a year with her. While she is training and racing here in the States during the summer, her daughter and husband are back home most of the time. I'm just as big an admirer of Ndereba as anyone, and she may be a good mother and a religious person, but the fact of the matter is that she has chosen her career first, just like Paula. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but it is a fact.
Besides, how long has Paula been married? Besides her career, lots of people wait a while before having kids. If that's her perogative, it is. Who should we be to judge?
you all should realize by now, but maybe not, that you can't have everything in life........
certain sacrifices need to be made to achieve desired goals. I am a woman in my mid-thirties who gave up money, security, and all that comes with that to pursue my running goals. And it paid off. I am happier than I have ever been, running faster and achieving more than I ever thought possible. Being the best you can is what it is all about.
I plan to have children some day, but I will wait until the time is right. My children will be happy to know that they have a mother who is completely content, who succeeded at what she strived to accomplish. I am happy with that decision.
I'm not the one who want to discuss with this joke subject.
anyway many Kenyan top female have kids.while none Japanese have .and Often at 16 or 17 years old they get married.
Esther Wanjiru (4th in Sydney marathon .with sub 1:07 half) said she wanted to have kids. She wanted to get married and have kids, she said she could try much harder for that kid. She wondered why Japanese somen can try for a long time without kids. But if she stops running ,her family in Kenya have trouble for money, since his father died,so she couldn't get marry. Her 11th summer in Japan ended.
Not trying to blow holes in your Castenada theory, but didn't Catherine set the world record after she had her child? And wasn't it an old eastern bloc training theory that they would let the female athletes get to a certain level athletically then encourage pregnancy, on the basis that it naturally strenghtend the athlete?

jjj, good for you. I am happy for you too.
thanks for the positive response. Although my peers (and mother) think I am crazy for doing what I am, I am so completely fulfilled with my decisions. many of my friends are married (many not happily) with children whom they love.
I am happy that I am pursuing my dreams at this time. I went against the grain.... to pursue my dreams, and I am still a year and a half from achieving them. I have a good chance of getting there, but if I don't, then I will feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to try.
life brings so many opportunities, and so many challenges. we are lucky to identify them and make the right decisions.

jjj, you are welcome. the only way to make your dreams come true is to know what they are and to go for them, and you are. sounds like you are in exactly the right place in your life and making the most of it. often the very best dreams are where we are right now.
Blah-Blah-Blah- No one should feel guilty for choosing not to bring a bunch of bloodsucking, needy, ungrateful leeches into the world. If more people followed Radcliffe's choice this world would be better off. She'll have a few more years of world class running and then only have a few years left to reproduce before her biological clock shuts down.
Plus, she'll be able to afford to take care of them and not leave their juvenile delinquent asses roaming the streets and getting into trouble.
Any woman who has kids before they're 25 has already decided they have no future so they think that will be a purpose to live.
why are you reading such pychobabble new age piece of crap?
MY-MY-MY- what an attitude. The focus of this thread is not about bashing women who choose not to have children- rather, it is a discussion of the pros and cons of motherhood as they apply to RUNNING. And, while I am glad to have waited until my mid 30s (for a variety of reasons) to raise my beautiful kids, I know many remarkable women who started families at a young age who most certainly always believed they had a future- one that included a family along with myriad of other accomplishments. I hope you're not planning on having kids- I'd hate to grow up being called a "bloodsucking, needy, ungrateful leech".
Why are we even bothering replying to this idiot. This guy is obviously a dumb ass. Who gives a f*** if she has kids or not?
