LRC Note on 4/26/2022 - This thread from 20 years ago was bumped up today and we've added an explanation about what it's referring to a few posts down. The thread was titled, "Runners World" but we changed it to explain to people what it's about.
Honestly, I much preferred the format of RW's old Message Board to Let's Run.
RW's board was better structured and it was easier to find informative threads. RW's decision to abandon their message board was the beginning (or maybe the middle) of the end.
LR has gotten better with the Up & Down posting and other recent board refinements, but the sh#t posting noise is still many multiples of the old RW board.
I was a regular on those boards. Lots of good civil discussion. It was moderated well enough that threads were organized. Lots of people sharing thoughts.
I wish I could remember the name of the guy who posted here and there with all these crazy theories about running and physiology. Crap, really wish I could remember his screen name.

It was Jon Orange of course and he has never stopped posting his BS under various names.
