Those rankings are such a crap chute. The coach\'s doing the ranking do not care at all. If UVA is ranked #1 in the southeast region then they should be ranked but are not for some asinine reason. They have been looking pretty strong and should get into Nats easily probably with the regional title as well unless Arkansas pulls something out of their asses.
Well that's better - they are listed at 13th! But how about a note explaining - like ooops we're sorry, we made a mistake and will work to make sure it doesn't happen again. Did they think no one would notice - how about accepting some repsonsibility? Some integrity in the process - is that to much to ask?

Will this do? Why did you not try to figure the problem yourself rather than just bitching?
"This has been fixed online and reissued. I apologize for the error. Our poll coordinator made an error compiling the national votes yesterday and therefore accidentally left off Virginia. The poll was out later than usual as there were two conference meets on Monday that we had to account for which also pushed the submission of the regional rankings back later than usual. Either way this is now fixed."

Arkansas is not in the same region (NC State and W&M should be their competition).

Didn't realize that posted rankings were a math problem to be worked out by those reading them.
Has anyone noticed University of New Mexico women rise up the rankings. Big win for them at Mountain conferance. Joe Franklin obviously doing good work again.
But what about the men??
He did better with Butler and that was a small school so he should really be doing better with a big state school at altitude.

Someone simply made a mistake and left them off of the ballot. Conversely, maybe they were on the next page and did not get tabulated; if this is true you can calculate the missing votes. When I do the math, I get that there are (1+2+3+...+30)*12 = 465*12 = 5580.
When I add up the votes I only get 5367 (including 93 for those over #30). This leaves a difference of 213, which ranks them 13th, ahead of Minnesota.
